Shipment Policy Manager (Tarifwerk)(en)

The Shipment Policy Manager (SPM) helps you find the correct dispatch type and serves as a preliminary step towards Best-Price determination.

Its task is to filter out valid dispatch types for each shipment in a decision matrix.

The Shipment Policy Manager is available as a plugin for the Rate Structure Configurator.

Functionality

Once a request for Best Price arrives in the rate structure, the Shipment Policy Manager will filter out all possible dispatch types.

If only one dispatch type proves valid and the Best Price request does not explicitly require price determination via an option, that dispatch type is returned directly.

If multiple dispatch types are valid, the price for each dispatch type is checked. Therefore, a valid rate is required for each dispatch type defined in the decision matrix.

Operation

You can access the Shipment Policy Manager in the Tarifwerk-Configurator through the Tarifdaten menu.
