Instructions and features

Using a report option available in HVS32, it is possible to generate a report in file format that lists the DHL packages accumulated during a printing day without an identifiable postal street code. (For such packages, DHL usually charges an additional fee of currently 49 cents during billing.) The report details the relevant package information.

Target Directory

The designated storage directory for the generated reports is the HVS32 subdirectory HVS32\Post\RoutingCodeErrorReports.

If needed, further transfer of the generated reports via email can be set up (provided that the general requirements for using an emailing functionality are met).

Output File Format

The report output format can be PDF, XLS, or TXT/CSV, with TXT/CSV format set as the default during setup.

Triggering Report Generation

An adjustable postal configurator option activates the automatic generation of the street code error report during the postal day closing.

Additionally, if required, a manual trigger can be initiated via the HVS32 menu option deliveries / print Reports.

Report Content

The report lists the details of all non-routing coded packages that were processed for printing up to the report trigger on that day. This includes the relevant destination address details (street, postal code, city), the error status (i.e., a note explaining why the routing code could not be completed), as well as additional identifying details for the package (client ID, customer number, delivery note number, package tracking number).

Limitations

The report cannot be split into separate files by client and cannot be transferred separately by client, but only summarized for all clients for whom DHL package/post items have been processed. The entries in the report are sorted by client ID, then by destination postal code, destination city, and destination street within the same client ID.
