In this description you will find all the necessary information to update the StatusdatenManager. Please read it carefully. If you have any questions, please contact support directly (support@heidler-strichcode.de).

Directory name / Service name

The StatusdatenManager is usually installed in the Heidler directory as StatusdatenManager. [...]/Heidler/StatusdatenManager/

The naming of the Windows service (services.msc) corresponds to the naming of the installation directory. By Default the name is Heidler-StatusdatenManager

Compatibility

The StatusdatenManager can be updated to the latest version without any problems.

Update duration / downtime

No downtime is necessary.

The update can be installed in approx. 5 minutes.

What must be done after the update?

During the update, the Windows service is automatically terminated.

This is not started automatically by default after the setup has been carried out.

This must be done manually. Alternatively, there is a check mark in the setup to start the service automatically.

How do I check whether the application works properly after the update?

After the Windows service has been restarted, the logs of the StatusdatenManager should be checked. These are located in the main directory in the subfolder [...]/Heidler/StatusdatenManager/logs.

service.log: In this log, the start/stop of the Windows service.

(Versions before 1.6.4 from 08.01.2024 in semService.log)

error.log: In this log you can find all application errors that have occurred.

What tests should I perform after the update?

No tests are possible. Since the collection of tracking status data is time-controlled, it should be checked whether current files are stored in the import directories.[...]/Heidler/StatusdatenManager/import/<Carrier>/
